Group to Fintiri: probe ownership of Highland Tea Plantation
The governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri has been admonished to call for investigation of the ownership of highland tea plantation farm jointly owned by Adamawa and Taraba state government.
The chairman Adamawa united for change, Alhaji Musa Dasin made the call in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Pwadeno Solomon.
Dasin said that “Such a probe was necessary in view of reports that the tea planation farm is now owned by an individual in Adamawa State, the plantation farm which has an estimated worth of 600million naira of its global net worth.”
The group Chairman said he was shocked by “reports from unimpeachable sources that Adamawa state governor, Umaru Fintiri constituted a visitation panel to tertiary institutions owned by the state and fail to probe ownership of highland tea.
He said “we are calling on Gov. Fintiri to immediately constitute a probe panel to ascertain the current ownership of highland tea, as any probe without inclusive of highland tea report will not be accepted by the people of Adamawa state”.
