Adamawa Workers Expects 32000 Minimum Wage As Fintiri Received First Allocation since Assumption of Office
Civil servants across Adamawa state is expecting the implementation of the 32000 naira minimum as promised by Gov. Fintiri during the last governorship campaign in the state, some of the elated workers that could not hide their happiness as news filtered in Thursday evening that FAAC has shared about 672 billion naira for the month of May 2019.
Mr. Mohammed Aliyu, a civil servant with Adamawa state government told this news medium that “we are keenly waiting for the immediate implementation of the 32000 minimum wage in Adamawa state as federal government has already given all states government the go ahead with the payment of the new minimum wage, while we understand that FG cannot implement the new wage due to the payment formula the joint committee of NLC, TUC and the FG are working on, we in Adamawa state have nothing like committee handling payment formula as we will not tolerate any excuse that even FG has not paid so Adamawa state cannot pay”.
The Finder report that Federal government and the national leadership of the NLC has warned states government to commence implementation of the new minimum wage without delay.
