Adamawa council poll: “No election in Girei Local government today” -PP Elisha

All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain in Girei local government, Mr. P. P Elisha, has disclosed that there was no election today in Girei local government because there was no result sheets issued to the LGA.

Speaking with our correspondent in Yola the party stalwart said “as I am speaking to you now, there was no election in Girei LGA. I am in Girei since 7am up to 5pm there was no election anywhere in the whole of the ten wards of Girei local government because there was no result sheets. And the APC agents in the LGA said since there was no result sheets they are not going to participate in the election until they brought result sheets.

“So I want to tell you that there is no election in my LGA. We are challenging everyone that will say that they conducted election in Girei LGA, to come out and tell us when and where did they conduct election?”

“We in APC have distance ourselves from the election and will challenge any result that will be announce or fabricated by anyone in favour of any candidate”, he warned.

Mr. Elisha who claimed that he has went round the LGA condemned and described the election as a charade. Stating that it was the worst election that was ever conducted in the history of state since the inception of democracy.
