Eid-el-Kabir: Senator Bindow congratulate Muslim faithful
As the Muslim faithful celebrate Eid-el Kabir, a former Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Jibrilla Bindow, has urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for peaceful co-existence in the country.
A statement by his media Assistant, Mr Martins Dickson said Senator Bindow, while felicitating with Muslims, urged them not to forget the spirit behind the celebration.
Senator Bindow also appealed to Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, obedience and respect for constituted authority for the collective advancement of the country.
He reiterated the need for peace if the desired development would be achieved.
“It is therefore important for all of us to avoid huge gatherings and other conduct which may lead to the spread of Covid-19. We should also stick to the use of face masks, wash our hands from time to time, apply hand sanitizers and maintain physical distance. This is important to avert a situation where after Sallah, there would be increased cases of people infected with the virus”, he stated.
Senator Bindow called on the Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to spare a thought for members of the armed forces and security personnel on the line of duty risking their lives for peaceful festivities.
Bindow wished all Nigerians happy Eid-el Kabir celebrations.
