Breaking: I am still the Adamawa APC Chairman; as those behind my botch removal from office are bandit -Bilal

The Chairman, All progressive congress,(APC)Adamawa state chapter, Ibrahim Bilal has refuted a report that he was suspended over misappropriation.

Bilal, who described the report as mischievous disclosed that those involved in his botch removal office are bandits that broke into the party secretariat to carry out the charade which can not stand.

Adamawa APC chairman in a statement Monday said he will be back next week to resume duties, as it is only the national working committee of the APC that can discipline any member of the party.

Bilal who described himself as a stickler for due process said he formally went on leave.

He noted that the Deputy Chairman has held forth admirably since that day.

The statement partly read “ want to thank all APC faithful in Adamawa, who have called to express their solidarity, following today’s rapacious actions of a few elements bent at plunging a virile party into crisis.

It needs restating not to mislead the uninformed that only the National Working Committee, of the APC, reserves the power in a dispute or crisis to remove an elected chairman of the party. Our party guidelines are clear on this issue.

I thank Senator Elisha Abbo and other prominent members of the party who have reacted swiftly to restate their unalloyed support of my stewardship as, a good omen.

This charade by a few persons who acted like bandits broke into our serene party Secretariat to do what they did will not stand. We must never allow them to truncate the tenet of internal democracy anchored on the rule of law.

“If not that the authors of the mischievous and baseless ignorant people behind my illegal removal were out to serve nefarious interests.

“The general public is, therefore, advised to ignore the mischievous social media publications as they are purely the work of mischief-makers and idle minds”.
