ADSU MUBI Celebrates 20th Anniversary
The Management of the Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU) has pledged to meet the needs of the institution based on its available resources and productivity.
Prof Kaletapwa George Farauta, Vice Chancellor of ADSU pledged during the 20th Anniversary celebration of Adamawa State University on Saturday in Mubi.
She said that anniversaries are significant milestones in the lives of Individuals and institutions, adding that they offer an opportunity for stock-taking, to see how far they have come, and evaluate the successes, the challenges and the unfulfilled goals.
Kaletapwa said that the journey of ADSU Mubi was epoch-making for the most part because of the wonderful job done by the Pioneer Principal and Staff whose legacy had been sustained over the years by their successor Staff.
“I must mention three notable individuals who went the extra mile to actualize the formation of this University.
“They are the former Governor of the state, Mr Boni Haruna, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Abdurahman Ghaji, Prof. Kwagha and others, she said.
Earlier, Major Gen. Paul Tarfa, chairman of the 20th Anniversary occasion said the school needs support to close several glaring gaps.
“Presently, lacunas exist in some important sectors of the school and moving forward, we would be working with the management of the school and the owners of the school to fashion out modalities for addressing these challenges.
“I also wish to extend our debt of gratitude to all the management of the institution for their very generous contribution towards this celebration and the signature project of the anniversary”, he said.
Mrs Shedrach Paul, class of 2012 set appreciated the school for its development over the years.
“I am very excited to be in ADSU today. I have seen some of my school classmates”, she said.
“Today is a day, it’s something we have been planning for a while and I am excited it’s a reality.
“My aim for ADSU is to regain its position of honour, excellence and thriving to attain greater height”, she said.
