Fintiri spoke to everyone in the state and said that he was happy that the state was still peaceful under his watch as governor, and that the peace would continue.
Fintiri said, “I want to use this opportunity to thank almighty Allah and the good people of Adamawa state for the demonstration of love and support which they have shown this government in the last Saturday election, precisely on the 18th of the match.
“The election is over, but Adamawa State remains, and we will continue to ensure it remains safe and peaceful. We have partially won the election, and the election has been earmarked to be repeated in 69 units. While we await that, we should be patient with each other; we should be our brother’s keeper.
“We as a government will ensure we close the gap so that our people will not be divided and will ensure I build the Adamawa of our dream that will keep us united and keep us in love, and I will improve on the understanding and coexistence of our people.
The Finder reported how a fathom Furfore result surfaced on social media without being submitted to the INEC electoral officer in Furfore, but the APC in Adamawa claimed to have garnered 67,000 votes, which is below the total number of people accredited according to the BVAS report exclusively obtained by this medium.
The controversial result almost plunged the peace state into chaos, but with immense pressure on INEC, the commissioner decided to use IREV to determine the authenticity of the results obtained from all the polling units across Furfore, which exposed the rigging plan of the APC in Adamawa.
