INEC declares PDP’s Fintiri winner of Adamawa guber poll.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been proclaimed the winner of the Adamawa state governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Fintiri received 430,869 votes, beating out Aishatu Dahiru Binani of the All-Progressive Congress (APC), who received 398,235 votes.
On Tuesday, Prof. Mele, the returning officer, proclaimed the PDP candidate the winner.
INEC ruled the March 18 Adamawa gubernatorial election inconclusive in March due to “massive vote cancellation and overvoting” in 20 of the state’s 20 LGAs.
