Governor Fintiri Encourages Muslims to Learn From Ramadan
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has urged Muslim faithful to carry the teachings of sacrifice, discipline, and love learnt during Ramadan beyond the month of Ramadan.
He said this in a message of goodwill by his chief press chief press, Humwashi Wonosoiku to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
While thanking the Muslim Ummah on a successful Ramadan fast, the Governor asked them to continue praying for peace, love, and national stability. “I urge you to continue to pray for peace, love, and stability for the nation,” he stated.
The governor urged Nigerians not to let religion stifle the country’s growth and prosperity, but rather to advocate for the advancement of human dignity and mutual respect for one another’s faith. “Do not let religion stand in the way of the country’s growth and progress; instead, advocate for the promotion of human dignity and mutual respect for each other’s faith.”
Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri urged religious leaders to continue preaching the real ideals of their faith to their followers.He also urged Muslims to embrace the occasion to ponder on the characteristics that will make Nigeria a great country.
“As we celebrate Sallah, I encourage you to consider the virtues that will make Nigeria a better place for all and future generations.
“The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering a democratic dividend and urged all inhabitants of the state to work together to ensure government success, particularly in the continuing peace process.
Despite political divisions, he promised to keep on, saying, “I am governor to all and would ensure no community or person is left behind in our transformation agenda.”
