Rep. Okere has been named by the LP as the chair of the Imo guber campaign council.
Tochukwu Okere, a member of the House of Representatives, will lead the Labour Party’s (LP) campaign for governor of Imo on November 11.
This was announced in a statement released on Monday in Abuja by Chief Chime Nzeribe, Director-General of the Sen. Athan Achonu Campaign Organisation.
Okere, who represents the Owerri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, would have three deputies, according to Nzeribe: Mathew Nwogu, Chikwem Onuoha, and Chika Mmadumere.
According to him, the Campaign Council was established to plan for the gubernatorial race.
“Our campaign is in full gear, and we are very prepared to take back Imo; hence, we are inaugurating our campaign council, made up of eminent people of Imo and great party men,” he declared.
