Tinubu orchestrates the rescue of kidnapped students from Gusau University.
The remaining female students of the Federal University of Gusau were seized by militants on Thursday, and President Bola Tinubu has ordered security services to rescue them.
Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, the president’s communications aide, said on Sunday in Abuja that Tinubu had spoken out against the kidnapping.
He continued by saying that the president had indicated there was no moral basis for such atrocities against innocent victims whose only “offence” was to try to get an excellent education.
President Obama promised the families of the missing students that he would spare no effort in his pursuit of justice.
Tinubu assured the nation’s students that the government would do everything in its power to keep schools safe and secure so that they could continue to be places of learning, development, and opportunity.
Around midnight on Thursday, bandits attacked three female student hostels in Sabon Gida, where students live off-campus from the university.
Although some female students managed to get away, several were kidnapped.
