Wike Backs Down on Okada Herder Ban in Favour of Dialogue, Public Transit

Mr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has pledged to meet with cattle breeders to discuss their concerns before enforcing the ban on cow breeding in central Abuja.

Before imposing the prohibition on commercial motorbike operators in the city core, Wike has also disclosed intentions to provide other forms of mobility.

The minister broke the news to the press on Saturday after touring ongoing road construction in the nation’s capital.

He assured the people of Nigeria that his government would do everything in its power to make their capital a source of national pride.
