Makinde Forms Elders’, Advisory Councils in Oyo State
Both the Oyo State Elders’ Council and the Oyo State Advisory Council were established by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Elder Wole Oyelese, a former minister of power and steel, and Dr. Saka Balogun, a former chief of staff to Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, will lead the State Elders’ Council as chairman and co-chairman.
Other members of the Elders’ Council include former Deputy Governor of the State Hameed Gbadamosi, former First Lady Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja, and Chief Jacob Adetoro, according to a letter dated October 12 and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Chief Sunday Ogunlade, Chief Nureni Akanbi, Chief Ademola Eyinade, and Chief Adefope are some of the others.
According to the letter, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN would serve as chairman of the State Advisory Council.
Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, is on the Advisory Council, as are Senators Hosea Agboola, Gbenga Babalola, Barrister Michael Lana, a candidate for Governor of Oyo State in the 2023 election from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Babatunde Oduyoye, and Senator Kamarudeen Adedibu, all of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
