Taraba Partners German agency for agricultural enhancement
The government of Taraba State will work with the German Development Agency to promote environmentally friendly farming methods throughout the state.
In a meeting with Dr. Markus Wagner, the agency’s Country Director in Nigeria, the government formally requested collaboration. The discussion took place at the agency’s country office in Asokoro, Abuja.
Dr. Agbu Kefas, who spoke during the conference, emphasised the importance of food security and agriculture, stating that Taraba State has been gifted with enormous potential but requires the help of the German Development Agency in order to realise its full potential.
The governor has stated that the state is actively working to promote sustainable farming practises due to the critical importance of agriculture to the state’s economy and the people’s standard of living.
Renewable energy, key infrastructure, women’s and youth empowerment, mining, and other areas were among those Dr. Agbu Kefas advised the agency to work on together. Dr. Kefas informed the public that he is working nonstop to make the state more secure for business.
Dr. Markus Wagner, director of the German Development Agency’s country office, has pledged the agency’s help and collaboration to the government of Taraba State. High-ranking government officials from Taraba State were present at the meeting.
