Easter: Akpabio Urges Christians to Follow Christ’s Example by Sacrificing for One Another

Godswill Akpabio, president of the senate, has addressed Christians during and after Easter celebrations, urging them to embrace the humility, love, and sacrifice exhibited by Jesus Christ.

The president expressed his congratulations to Christians both at home and abroad for making it through Lent and celebrating Easter in his Easter greeting, which was delivered through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh.

“I implore everyone of you to follow Jesus’ example and give yourself up for the sins of others, just as He did for the salvation of the world.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are commanded to reflect His love in all that we do, and this commandment is particularly important during this Easter season.

So, let us love our country, our leaders, our neighbours, and each other. He warned that no one would love their nation or its leaders on our behalf until we do.

“Along with our celebration, let us also remember to pray. If we keep praying for our country, our leaders, and God to hear us, we can restore Nigeria’s glory, Akpabio remarked.
