FG Declares Tue, Wed Holidays For Eid El-Fitr Celebrations
Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 have been designated as holidays by the federal government in observance of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
On Sunday, a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Aishetu Ndayako, on behalf of the Federal Government was issued by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
After the holy month of Ramadan came to a close, the minister extended his congratulations to all Muslims on the successful completion of the fast.
Following the example set by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he urged Muslims to embrace and put into practice the following virtues: compassion, kindness, tolerance, love, peace, and good neighbourliness.
In order to better their nation and attain unity and peace, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo urged Nigerians to embrace togetherness.
He prayed that Allah’s favour, peace, and blessings be upon all people nation Nigeria as they celebrated Eid-el-Fitr.
