Adamawa Rep. distributes palliatives to constituents.
On Monday, Hon. Dauda Nyampa, a member of parliament from the Michika/Madagali Federal Constituency, handed palliatives to approximately 7,000 individuals.
Stone Mill Nigeria Ltd., the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, and the congressman himself worked together to arrange the event at the Michika local government headquarters.
President Bola Tinubu gave Senators N200 million in relief materials, while House of Representatives members received N100 million to distribute to their communities.
Nyampa informed reporters that the federal government is aware of the challenges and is working to resolve them.
“We have been given these food items to deliver to our constituents,” he explained.
The Ministry of Agriculture is assisting in this, and a contractor is providing it.
The key is to collaborate. We both contribute, so it’s not all labour. It will add up if I reach 7,000 today and more than 6,000 by December. Everyone has to pitch in.
At the Michika local government headquarters, 7,000 food packages were distributed to a large crowd of people, the most of whom are elderly men and women.
Vandi Saleh, a former public official who spoke with our reporter, stated his satisfaction in profiting from this. I am taken aback. On Sunday, they briefed me about palliative care while I was at home. Thank you for that. I hope this isn’t the last one.
Furthermore, physically disabled 76-year-old Maryiam Ibrahim expressed her delight that this is happening during her lifetime. Thank you to the organisers for arranging this. Everyone is aware of the current status of the country. Therefore, this is vital.
Earlier, Hon. Stephen Maduwa, a PDP chieftain in Adamawa, thanked the legislator for the assistance he had offered.
