Fintiri greets Muslims at Eid al-Fitr.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on Muslims to remember the teachings of Ramadan, which include self-sacrifice, self-control, and love.
Humwashi Wonosoiku, the press secretary for the governor, quoted his principal as saying that Nigerians should pause to consider the state of the country.
“Remember that moderation is vital in all you do during this season,” he remarked, congratulating Muslims on their achievement of one of Islam’s Five Pillars.
He announced that Muslims had finished one of the most difficult Islamic duties—a month-long fast and prayers—among other forms of worship and urged all believers to apply what they had learned during Ramadan through acts of sacrifice, charity, and the provision of alms to those in need.
“Our Muslim brothers and sisters can greatly benefit from the Holy Month of Ramadan, which allows them to deepen their connection with Allah and promotes a life of selflessness, kindness, and solidarity,” the governor said.
Additionally, he notes that the time spent celebrating Eid was a call to action for the people of Nigeria to follow the principles taught by the season, which included a sincere commitment to doing what is right in one’s personal and public lives, and selfless service to God and humanity.
Let us keep in mind that we are all part of the same human family and keep pushing each other to find common ground and harmony. Our nation will remain the magnificent nation in which we all take pride if this happens.
In a message to all residents of the state, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends and called on everyone to pitch in and support the government’s efforts, especially the ongoing peace process.
