Eid-el-Fitr: ADSU VC greets Fintiri, urges Nigerians to pray for unity.
Joining Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other Muslims in the country in celebrating this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, Dr. Stephen Lagu, the acting vice chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi expressed his joy.
In a statement commemorating the conclusion of Ramadan, Lagu, speaking on behalf of the management and the governing council, urged all Muslims to maintain the good works begun during the holy month and to follow the example set by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The acting vice chancellor of the state university in Mubi, Lagu, emphasised the need of peaceful coexistence and the unity of Nigeria, while stressing that Ramadan has taught all believers how to live a selfless and virtuous life.
In the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr, may all Muslims observe moderation and keep loving one another, particularly those less fortunate than themselves. This message comes from ADSU Mubi’s administration and governing council.
“Regardless of one’s faith, tribe, or colour, fellow Nigerians should be treated with compassion, self-discipline, and sacrifice.”
Along with praying for Nigeria’s and Adamawa’s unity, Lagu urged everyone living in Adamawa to work with Governor Fintiri to create a better state of which we can all be proud.
“May all Nigerian people, I implore you, pray to Almighty Allah, asking that He direct and direct our leaders as they embark on the path of nation-building,” he concluded.
