NAF bombs terrorist camps in Zamfara.
On Wednesday, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) destroyed many terrorist camps and their associated structures in Zamfara through bombing.
The action was carried out by the Air Component of action Hadarin Daji, according to a statement made by NAF spokesman AVM Edward Gabkwet on Thursday in Abuja.
The terrorist kingpins Abdullahi Nasanda in Zurmi, Malam Tukur in Gusau, and another in the Maradun Local Government Areas of Zamfara were the ones whose camps were demolished, according to Gabkwet.
The information, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations that were carried out against Nasanda’s camp, he added, revealed the terrorists’ whereabouts and the motorcycles they had hidden.
The area was hit by repeated aircraft passes, neutralising several terrorists, after it was determined that their activities were in line with terrorists’ tactics of operation.
At Malam Tukur camp, we also carried out similar ISR missions and monitored terrorist activity.
A number of terrorists were killed and numerous buildings were destroyed in the airstrikes that targeted the camp.
Terrorists, their hideouts, and their equipment were attacked and destroyed in airstrikes that were extended to Kanikawa in Maradun town, which is under the Maradun LGA of Zamfara, he added.
