In Abuja, 4U Supermarket was sealed by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

Its management’s unscrupulous tactics led to its sealing on Thursday. As part of an enforcement drill in various areas of the nation’s capital, FCCPC officials made the move.

Initiating a campaign to ensure quantity compliance and pricing display, FCCPC officials visited multiple Abuja supermarkets.

The decision is a direct reaction to customer outcry about price increases, which contradict the naira’s recent growth vs foreign currencies.

Inconsistent pricing, according to the Commission, is still a major problem.
