Governor Fintiri orders formation of building committee in response to Yola Market fire.

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has directed the formation of a committee of experts to design and construct a structure to replace the burned-out Yola market.

According to Humwashi Wonosoiku, the governor’s chief press secretary, the renovation of the Yola market structure will include a comprehensive redesign and expansion plan with a better organized and accessible area for business activity.

This follows the governor’s visit to the market on Monday, during which he promised to begin restoration of the facility within a month.The committee of specialists will include architects, engineers, urban planners, quantity surveyors, and constructors.

The group of competent professionals is in charge of ensuring the new structure is shopper friendly. The committee must provide its findings within three weeks, the statement said.
