FG Awards Civil Servants on Consolidated Salary Structures Pay Increase
On the remaining six consolidated compensation structures, the Federal Government has approved a pay rise for government officials of between 25% and 35%.
This statement was given on Tuesday, the eve of Workers’ Day 2024, by Emmanuel Njoku, Head of Press at the National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission (NSIWC).
The increase becomes operative on January 1, 2024.
Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS) Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS) Consolidated Police Salary Structure (CONPOSS) Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure (CONPASS) Consolidated Intelligence Community Salary Structure (CONICCS) and Consolidated Armed Forces Salary Structure (CONAFSS) make up the Salary Structure.
The consolidated university academic pay structure (CONUASS) and the consolidated tertiary institution salary structure (CONTISS) applied to those in the tertiary education and health sectors had previously been granted their increases.

The announcement said that the new wage structure for polytechnics and colleges of education comprised the Consolidated Tertiary Educational Institutions wage Structure (CONTEDISS) and the Consolidated Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Salary Structure (CONPCASS).
Consolidated health sector wage structure (CONHESS) and consolidated medical salary structure (CONMESS) will also be advantageous to those working in the healthcare industry.
Comparably, for pensioners on the defined benefits plan pertaining to the six consolidated wage structures listed above, the Federal Government has likewise approved increases in pension of between 20% and 28%.
