Anniversaries: Miyetti Allah praises Tinubu, calls for commission on nomadic education.

The Nigerian Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association has applauded President Bola Tinubu for his dedication to improving security, agriculture, and infrastructure since taking office.

In a congrats letter received by the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja, Alhaji Baba Othman-Ngelzarma, the National President of MACBAN, praised Tinubu.

Even though it has been a turbulent year, your one year in office has shown you to be a brave, visionary man with fresh optimism for Nigeria.

“Your dedication to improving Nigeria’s infrastructure, agriculture, and security is a testimony that you are not only up to the task but to deliver the dividends of democracy to the larger Nigerian populace.”

According to Othman-Ngelzarma, the agricultural Renewed Hope plan calls for significant investments in agronomy and animal production in order to make Nigeria self-sufficient in food security.

“Considering this, MACBAN looks forward to your promise of establishing a Ministry for Livestock to manage the N15 trillion industry and its value chain,” he stated.

“The industry offers millions of quality jobs to Nigerian youth, resulting in unemployment and abject poverty, which is a threat to national cohesion and security in the country.”

“You promised during the report presentation to immediately establish and inaugurate the livestock implementation committee, which is necessary to achieve this objective.”

To ensure the sustained welfare of Nigerian nomads, Othman-Ngelzarma also pleaded with Tinubu to permit the National Commission for Nomadic Education to operate independently.

“We appreciate the efforts of security agencies in the country in combating crime but we express concern with the way and manner in which innocent pastoralists are being profiled and extorted,” he said.

Your Excellency, the optimism you radiate should be realised in order to bolster the confidence of common Nigerians in your programme of rekindled hope.

“We will keep supporting you in your efforts to improve institutional frameworks to make Nigeria and Nigerians the pride of Africa in innovation and productivity.”
