Stop your ministers from criticising Buhari, Tambuwal advises Tinubu.
Former Sokoto State governor Aminu Tambuwal has urged President Bola Tinubu to warn his ministers and other appointees against disparaging Muhammadu Buhari, his predecessor.
Tambuwal maintained that Tinubu should give up complaining about inheriting a weak economy since he could not separate himself from the failure of Buhari’s administration.
Speaking at the PDP stakeholders’ gathering in Sokoto on Sunday was Tambuwal, the current senator representing the Sokoto South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
“The same Tinubu government that failed to secure Nigerians or bring development is now bemoaning and distancing itself from Buhari’s administrative failure,” he added.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no business letting his ministers or advisers criticise and undermine the previous APC administration led by Muhammadu Buhari, from which he has reaped enormous benefits.
“If at all he is ready, President Tinubu should confront Nigerian governance with serious-minded attention and not allow certain myopic tendencies in his administration to destroy his good plan on securing our nation and bringing cohesion and development to our country.”
In order to fix Nigeria, Tambuwal stated, all Nigerians had to be united and committed.
“Nobody can change our country for us.” It takes commitment and resolve. He stressed the need of our party and its followers coming together.
Tambuwal thanked Sokoto State PDP leadership for their selflessness and for promoting party unity.
Tambuwal was thanked by Sokoto PDP Chairman Alhaji Bello Goronyo for his financial support of the party.
Attending the stakeholders meeting were PDP leaders from the 23 local government areas in the state.
