Democracy Day: Governor Fintiri Joins Citizens in Celebration.
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, joins the people of Adamawa State and all Nigerians in celebrating Democracy Day on June 12th.
“I commend Nigerians’ resilience and determination to uphold democratic values and principles,” the governor said in a statement released by his chief press secretary, Humwashi Wonosoiku.
Additionally, I would want to commend the achievements of the past twenty years and restate the dedication of my administration to strengthening democracy and improving the lives of the people.
In honour of this momentous occasion, the governor of Adamawa state has urged all residents to live in peace, unity, and harmony.
I am sorry that our democracy has not yet brought about the anticipated advantages of ease, safety, and wealth for all Nigerians, and I acknowledge the difficulties and struggles that many of my fellow countrymen are still facing as we celebrate Democracy Day this year.
“He urges residents of the state to maintain the hard-earned peace the administration has built over the last five years, warning that anyone found wanting will face the full wrath of the law.”
In light of Nigeria’s ongoing democratic transition, Governor Fintiri extends his best wishes for the state and nation’s continued prosperity and tranquilly.
As we rejoice in our democratic system, I want to stress once again the administration’s resolve to ensure the safety of all residents while also constructing the necessary infrastructure for future growth.
