Gov. Fintiri predicts landslide victory for PDP in Edo.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has voiced confidence in the PDP’s chances in the upcoming Edo governorship election. His principal press secretary, Humwashi Wonosoiku, issued a statement on Saturday, quoting the governor as stating

“Despite the recent setback of a court verdict that overturned the party’s candidate’s nomination, Governor Fintiri maintains optimistic in the party’s capacity to overcome this obstacle and emerge triumphant.

Speaking in Abuja at the campaign council’s initial meeting, Governor Fintiri acknowledged the challenges ahead but underlined the credibility of the PDP’s candidate and the party’s track record of delivering outcomes.

He stated his steadfast optimism that the party would eventually win the election. He expressed confidence in the legal team’s ability to successfully handle the matter.

“We have scheduled the Edo State governorship election on September 21, 2024. We anticipate a highly competitive election, with multiple political parties fighting for the top slot.
