Tinubu to address Nigerians on Sunday.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said this in a statement on Saturday captioned ‘President Tinubu to address the country.’
He asked television, radio, and other electronic media outlets to participate in the broadcast by connecting to the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria’s networks.
The press release continued: “The broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.”
Protesters have continued to take to the streets in Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, and other states, demanding, among other things, the reversal of the elimination of gasoline subsidies and the country’s increasing prices for products and services.
The ‘End Hunger’ demonstration, however, has been marred by alleged lootings by hoodlums in Kano and other northern districts, with police pursuing the perpetrators to recover some items.
