Governor Fintiri commends Adamawa State residents for peaceful participation in the #EndbadGovernanceProtest.
The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, praised the state’s people for their peaceful conduct during the recent Endbad Government Protest, which took place across the country.
Governor Fintiri expressed his gratitude during an enlarged security meeting held at Yola’s government house.
Security chiefs, local government chairmen, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, and other key players attended the meeting to examine the state’s security status, with a particular emphasis on food security, farmer/herder confrontations, and illicit mining.
Addressing the press on behalf of the government, Hon. Auwal Tukur, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, indicated that the purpose of the meeting was to examine the state’s security condition, particularly concerns of farmer/herder confrontations, illicit mining, and food security.
He claimed that they processed several topics throughout the discussion and discussed potential solutions to them.
The SSG, recalling the violent reports from other parts of the country as a result of the demonstration, expressed gratitude to Almighty God and the people of the state for their peaceful conduct during the protest.
As a result, he used the occasion to notify the public about Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s intention to acquire food products for later distribution, with the goal of mitigating the impact of the country’s current hunger crisis.
However, he added that the state government has yet to receive the twenty trucks of rice that the federal government claims to have given to each state.
