Gov Sule To Establish CNG-LNG Conversion Centres In Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule plans to build CNG and LNG car conversion stations across the state’s three senatorial zones.

He made the announcement at the graduation ceremony and certificate presentation for 50 indigenous auto-technicians recently educated in CNG-LNG bio-fuel system conversion, which took place on Monday at the Ministry for Local Government, Community Development, and Chieftaincy Affairs’ conference hall.

Instead of delivering starter kits to graduating trainees, the governor’s office plans to create three conversion centres across the state where trainees will not only demonstrate their skills and expertise, but also train others.

However, he stated that Mahindra, India’s largest tractor manufacturer, which has expressed interest in building centres in the state’s senatorial zones, would combine the three conversion centres into three tractor repairs and maintenance centres, in accordance with his administration’s policy of prudent state resource management.

Governor Sule emphasised the importance of the training, stating that the future lay with clean energy, gas, CNG, LNG, and electric vehicles.

He argued that, despite the country’s skyrocketing petrol prices, clean energy is Nigerians’ future.

“While other places and states, with due respect, will be thinking about what to do, Nasarawa State already knew what to do,” according to him. “You are already heading in that direction,” he added.

“That is the idea that will put you ahead.” The future of gas is massive. For you and for Nigeria. Nigeria is a country rich in natural gas.

“As if that wasn’t enough, Nasarawa State is now a gas state. Yes, we are an oil-producing state, but we discovered gas before we found oil. This is the concept behind the drilling operation that is now taking place in Obi.

The governor encouraged the graduating trainees, who were chosen from across the 13 local government regions, to think of themselves as trainers who would go on to influence the skills and knowledge of others.
