Lifting of Dangote Petrol To Commence On September 15, Says FG

The Presidential Committee on the Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products has stated that the first batch of petrol from the Dangote Refinery will be loaded on Sunday, September 15.

Zacch Adedeji, a committee member and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) chairman, made the announcement in Abuja on Friday.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) will begin delivering the Dangote Refinery with about 385 kbpd of crude oil on October 1, with payment in Naira.

“I am glad to announce that all agreements have been completed and loading of the first batch of PMS from the Dangote Refinery will commence on Sunday, 15th September,” Adedeji told the press.

He added that Dangote Refinery will supply PMS and fuel of similar value to the domestic market for payment in naira.

The committee also determined that the Dangote Refinery will sell diesel in Naira to any interested buyer, but will only sell PMS to the NNPC.

“NNPC will start supplying the Dangote Refinery with about 385 kbpd of crude oil starting on 1 October, with payment in Naira.”

The Dangote Refinery will supply PMS and diesel of equal value to the domestic market in exchange for Naira.

The Dangote Refinery will sell diesel in Naira to any interested buyer. Only NNPC will acquire PMS, which it will then distribute to other merchants for the time being. We will also pay any relevant regulatory charges in naira.
