Tinubu commends military on death of notorious bandit leader Sububu.

President Bola Tinubu is relieved to learn that Nigerian military personnel have successfully countered security challenges in the North-West.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), the success of the operations provides further assurance that the country’s security operatives are capable of safeguarding the nation’s peace and security.

On Thursday, troops from Operation Hadarin Daji apprehended wanted bandit leader Halilu Sububu, who had been terrorising civilians in Zamfara, Sokoto, and other parts of northwestern Nigeria.

In a joint operation in Katsina, troops killed terrorist Sani Wala Burki. In Kaduna, a terrorist enclave was busted, resulting in the release of 13 abducted students.

The successful operations follow the president’s order to service chiefs to relocate to the zone until normalcy is restored.

“President Tinubu congratulates the military high command, intelligence agencies, and troops for their heroic efforts, collaboration, and dedication that have resulted in the recent commendable results.

“The President also commends the entire security apparatus for the improved security in the nation and enjoins them to sustain their efforts until immediate and latent threats are permanently removed,” a portion of the statement said.

President Tinubu reminded security services of his continuing assistance in attaining the primary goal of keeping the country safe and secure.
