BREAKING: Tinubu Sacks Five Ministers, Appoints Seven New Ministers
President Bola Tinubu, has sacked five ministers on Wednesday, months after mounting demands that he reorganise his government.
In addition to nominating seven new ministers to be confirmed by the Senate, he reassigned ten ministers to different positions.
In a surprising move, the president removed many ministers from their positions: Uju-Ken Ohanenye from the ministry of women’s affairs, Lola Ade-John from tourism, Tahir Mamman from education, Abdullahi Gwarzo from state, housing, and urban development, and Jamila Ibrahim from youth development.
The National Sports Commission has appointed Shehu Dikko as its chairman.
The president has appointed Sunday Akin Dare to the position of special adviser, and he is presently focussing on orientation and public communication.
This was announced by the Presidency’s Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
