Wike Begs Nigerians to Keep Praying for Tinubu
Nyesom Wike, Nigeria’s minister of FCT, urged his countrymen to keep President Bola Tinubu in their prayers on Friday, stating that Tinubu intends well for Nigeria.
The six-lane Arterial Road N5, also called Obafemi Awolowo Way, was flagged off in Life Camp, Abuja, when he made this statement.
“So I want all of you in prayer to continue praying for Mr. President so that at the end of the day, the hope of our people will be gotten back,” Wike stated about the president. The ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ was his way of expressing this idea.
“This government aims to restore the hope that people have lost.” The locals probably didn’t think this road could ever be repaved. Says president: “Nothing is impossible.”
According to the minister, all the initiatives now underway in the nation’s capital were approved by President Tinubu.
In order for the present government to fulfil its campaign pledges, he urged all Nigerians to maintain their support.
“We thank God that Mr. President, in his infinite wisdom, gave us a latitude by increasing our threshold to ensure the continuation of work in the FCT.”
His statement was as follows: “Today, you can observe the ongoing contracts for schools and the construction of additional police stations to safeguard our citizens.” He attributed this success to the approval they received from Mr. President.
According to the minister, the new road will improve the local economy, stabilise food prices, and generate employment opportunities.
He pleaded with the contractor, Julius Berger Nigeria, to try to finish in 14 months instead of the originally planned 18 months, and he even promised more contracts if they were successful.
As a part of a larger initiative to improve the infrastructure of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Arterial Road N5 project is aiming to make Abuja a more accessible and economically dynamic metropolis.
