Fintiri signs five bills passed by the Eighth State Assembly.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has signed five bills passed by the 8th Adamawa State Assembly into law, according to his principal press secretary, Mr. Humwashi Wonosoiku.
Humwashi stated the intent of the Acts to our correspondent in Yola on Thursday.
The legislation include the Adamawa State Water Supply and Sanitation Hygiene Services Law 2024, which applies to a number of state agencies, including the Adamawa State Water Services Regulatory Commission, private sector participation and service providers, and the Adamawa State Water Corporation.
The Adamawa State Health Supplies Management Agency Law 2024 repeals the State Essential Drugs Programme Edict of 1996, while the Teachers Service Commission Law 2024 establishes the Adamawa State Teachers’ Service Commission. Additionally, the Adamawa State College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology Ganye Law 2024 repeals the Adamawa State College of Agriculture Ganye Law 15 of 2016, and the Adamawa State College of Nursing Sciences Law 2024 repeals the Adamawa State College of Nursing and Midwifery Law 2.
Governor Fintiri emphasised the necessity of teamwork in enforcing these laws to ensure that all social segments understand and follow them. He emphasised the importance of ongoing participation in making the legislation a reality.
