Adamawa Chieftaincy: Kumangar fires back at Ardo, saying 2023 election defeat has reduced him to a comedian.
The permanent secretary of the Adamawa State Ministry for Information and Strategy has warned Dr. Umar Ardo, the Social Democratic Party’s 2023 candidate, against attempting to highlight his political worth in the state by capitalising on the recent demand by state residents for a new district.
Apparently in response to Ardo’s recent claims on social media that the governor is attempting to limit the power of a first class chief in Adamawa by establishing a new district, the permanent stated that Ardo’s inability to win a councillorship or election over the years qualifies him as a failed politician.
Kumangar ascribed Umar Ardo’s defeat in all state elections to his transition into a full-time comedian and his ridicule of academic degrees.
The permanent secretary further criticised Ardo’s background and warned him not to claim to be a representative for any first class chief in the state.
The statement continued, “That Ardo lost the gubernatorial race is an ill wind that does not benefit anybody, but the whole world has seen arrogant personalities who have overvalued their public image and were exploiting Fintiri to enhance themselves.
Dr. Ardo, who hasn’t won an election in 40 years, is a prime example of a failed politician.
Dr. Ardo was busy guiding a busybody who considers themselves a democrat but does not grasp the principles of democracy. What could be more democratic than citizens supporting their own district’s traditional representatives?
“This guy was travelling from Sokoto to Abeokuta when the people of Adamawa demanded and submitted this memorandum. However, their paymaster had woken them from their slumber to assault and impugn the governor’s reputation.”
“There is an adage that comes in handy, which translates as follows: a farmer who planted 100 heaps of yam but lied to have planted 200, after harvesting the real and authentic 100, will undoubtedly suffer from the 100 unplanted lies of heaps, as Dr. Ardo and his co-travellers were brought back from their fantasy island after the 2023 General Election.
To keep the peace, we trust Dr. Ardo will act honourably, as past presidential appointees and a failed SDP governorship candidate in Adamawa. However, if he fails to do so, we are willing to accept him despite his behaviour, given his status.
“Adamawa was designed for all tribes; it is not intended for any single tribe or faith. The new alterations are permanent, thus Ardo should not cry more than the grieved if anyone else is bereaved except him.
“We all remember how the court labelled this man as a meddlesome interloper when he went to court over the 2015 election that brought in the governor then—the same tactics he has employed to impugn the governor’s character.”
