Chiefdom/Emirate: History will be kind to you; Adamawa info. commissioner exalts Fintiri.
Hon. Iliya James, Adamawa State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, says Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has written his name in gold.
Hon. Iliya, speaking after the conclusion of the seven emirates/chiefdoms coronation, said that Governor Fintiri has done a wonderful job as the people’s governor by always standing with them.
He thanks the governor for providing him the opportunity to serve in his administration. Iliya enumerates the countless benefits of service under Governor Fintiri, promising to continue to support him.
“Since the arrival of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to power in Adamawa State in 2019, the state has witnessed notable developments across various sectors, including infrastructure, education, health, and security.
“However, one of the least publicised but most significant reforms has been an improvement in the governance and operational frameworks of the Adamawa Emirates’ traditional institutions.”
He declares that “Under Fintiri, Adamawa’s traditional institutions have seen an increase in their importance in things other than government.
The recent establishment of seven emirates in Adamawa, which launched Governor Fintiri’s name into the annals of Adamawa history, combined with his administration’s massive developmental accomplishments in every sector of the economy, has etched the governor’s name in the hearts of the people.
From Fufore in the central zone to Madagali in the northern zone of the state, the penultimate weeks were a carnival of all sorts as the people relished the governor’s memory in making what had previously been the most difficult decision in decades, but was the most simple to the governor due to his keeping a promise.
The laughter and happiness that the inhabitants of Fufore, Song, Gombi, Maihi, Madagali, and Michika produce is boundless; I believe that no subsequent government will be able to rescind the legislation that established the new emirates.
The commissioner argues that the governor’s slogan, “Nothing has been left untouched,” is a reality that everyone can see.
