Eid-el-Kabir: Fintiri celebrates with Muslims, advocates sacrifice, unity.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State congratulated Muslims on Eid al-Kabir and emphasised the need for harmony and tolerance in everyday interactions.
Fintri’s Sallah statement, issued by his chief press secretary, Humwashi Wonosoiku, also urged Nigerians to put personal, group, sectarian, and other interests aside.
Governor Fintiri congratulated the Muslim faithful on another fortunate season and encouraged them to use the opportunity for serious thought and spiritual refreshment.
He went on: “Eid El-Kabir is not just a time of festivity but an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the values of sacrifice, honesty, dedication, and peace as we march towards a common destiny.”
He reminded Nigerians of the importance of looking out for one another, emphasising that peaceful coexistence remains the foundation for unity and progress in Adamawa State and in the nation as a whole.
Governor Fintiri also called for more prayers for Nigeria’s peace, security, and progress, stating that the country requires the collective commitment of its people at this vital moment.
While sending his best wishes to Adamawa State pilgrims currently on the Hajj, the governor prayed for a successful Arafat and a safe return home.
He concluded by praying for God’s continuous protection over all citizens’ lives, as well as the grace to witness many more peaceful and prosperous Sallah festivities.
