FAAC Disburses N2.001 Trillion as July 2025 Revenue to FG, States, LGs
The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N2.001 trillion as revenue generated in July 2025 to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Government Councils (LGCs). The allocation followed the committee’s monthly meeting held in August 2025 in Abuja.
According to a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the total distributable revenue for the month comprised statutory revenue of N1.283 trillion, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N640.610 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) of N37.601 billion, and exchange difference of N39.745 billion.
From the total sum shared, the Federal Government received N735.081 billion, while State Governments received N660.349 billion. Local Government Councils were allocated N485.039 billion, and an additional N120.359 billion was disbursed to oil-producing states as 13 percent derivation revenue.
FAAC reported that gross revenue available in July stood at N3.837 trillion. However, deductions for cost of collection totaled N152.681 billion, while transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings accounted for N1.683 trillion. The gross statutory revenue for July was N3.070 trillion, reflecting a decline of N415.108 billion compared to N3.485 trillion recorded in June 2025.
On the other hand, VAT collections saw a slight increase, with N687.940 billion recorded in July—N9.775 billion higher than the N678.165 billion collected in June.
FAAC also noted significant increases in revenues from Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalties, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and Excise Duty. Marginal growth was recorded in VAT and Import Duty, while revenues from Companies Income Tax (CIT) and Common External Tariff (CET) Levies declined.
