Governor Fintiri Mourns former Senator and Statesman, Muhammad Mana

The Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Senator Muhammad Mana, a former lawmaker and respected elder statesman, describing his passing as a profound loss to Adamawa and the nation at large.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri said Senator Mana lived a life defined by “unwavering patriotism, distinguished public service, and an enduring commitment to national development.”

“Senator Mana’s legacy is etched in both his military and political contributions to Nigeria. From his rise through the ranks to Colonel in the Nigerian Army, to his service as Military Administrator of Plateau State, he exemplified discipline, sacrifice, and leadership,” Governor Fintiri noted.

Mana’s public service continued when he was elected in 2007 to represent Adamawa North Senatorial District in the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). During his time in the National Assembly, he was known for his humility, integrity, and strong advocacy for justice, fairness, and regional development.

Governor Fintiri described his death as “a huge loss not only to Adamawa State but to the entire country,” and extended heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Adamawa North, and Nigerians at large.

“I pray Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Jannatul Firdaus, and gives his family the strength to bear this great loss,” the Governor said.
