Fintiri at 58: A Torchbearer of Hope and Steward of Vision — CPS Wonosoiku
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Humwashi Wonosoiku, has joined millions of Nigerians and residents of the state in celebrating Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on the occasion of his 58th birthday.
Wonosoiku hailed the governor as “a torchbearer of hope, a leader of rare conviction, and a statesman whose life of service continues to inspire trust and faith in the Adamawa project.”
In a goodwill message released in Yola, the CPS described Fintiri as “a patriot of uncommon depth and clarity, whose footprints of courage, resilience, and foresight are deeply etched in the story of modern Adamawa.”
He noted that Fintiri’s leadership journey — from his days as Speaker of the State Assembly, through his tenure as Acting Governor, to his current stewardship — reflects extraordinary devotion to duty, even under the most challenging circumstances.
“On behalf of my family,” Wonosoiku said, “I warmly felicitate you on this remarkable milestone. I celebrate not just the gift of life, but the enduring virtues of vision, humility, and integrity that you embody — virtues that continue to reassure and inspire confidence in our collective future.”
According to him, Governor Fintiri has over the years distinguished himself as a leader who blends intellect with action, vision with pragmatism. He recalled how Fintiri, upon assuming office, faced daunting security and developmental challenges with courage and decisiveness, laying a solid foundation of resilience for Adamawa’s progress and becoming a symbol of hope for the nation.
“His ability to turn adversity into opportunity,” the CPS added, “has marked him out as one of Nigeria’s most resourceful and forward-thinking leaders.”
Wonosoiku further praised the governor for standing firmly with the people of Adamawa, driving reforms, restructuring the state’s economy, and rekindling public trust.
“Governor Fintiri remains a voice of moderation in turbulent times, a steadying force in moments of uncertainty, and a guardian of democratic ideals whose counsel enriches governance with wisdom and foresight,” he said.
“As you mark this new age,” Wonosoiku concluded, “my prayer is that divine grace grants you renewed strength, sound health, and greater accomplishments in your noble service to humanity. May the years ahead be crowned with fulfilment and achievements that stand the test of time.”
