Adamawa governor unveils acting management team for Gulak technology college
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has unveiled the pioneer leadership of the newly created College of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Studies in Gulak — a major step towards transforming the state into a hub for modern skills and economic growth.
In a decisive move to fast-track the institution’s takeoff, Governor Fintiri approved Dr. Yusufu Gambo as the Acting Rector, placing him at the helm of what the government describes as one of its most ambitious educational projects.
Also announced were three other key acting appointments: Amina Barkindo as Librarian, Isa Ahmed as Bursar, and Joy Tarfa as Registrar. The team is expected to assume duties immediately and begin laying the foundation for a college designed to shape the next generation of tech-savvy, innovation-driven professionals.
Sources inside Government House say the governor personally vetted each appointee, insisting that only competent hands would be trusted to steer the institution in its formative years.
In a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosoiku congratulating the newly appointed officials, Governor Fintiri charged the management team to “work with diligence, vision, and commitment to establish the college as a centre of excellence.” He stressed that the institution is not just another addition to the state’s educational infrastructure but a strategic engine for economic growth, offering training in areas such as technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
“The College of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Studies, Gulak is expected to provide training and skills development programmes to equip students with the competencies needed to succeed in the modern economy,” the governor said.
He expressed strong confidence in the team’s ability to build the college from the ground up and steer it towards national prominence. With the appointments now in effect, attention shifts to Gulak as the state anticipates rapid progress on what many describe as one of Governor Fintiri’s most forward-looking educational initiatives.
