Fintiri to bag presidential award for excellence in governance for the third time in a row
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, is poised to make history once again as he prepares to receive the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Governance for the third consecutive year.
The honour, which celebrates exceptional service to the nation and outstanding contributions to national development, will be presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2025 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).
The ceremony is scheduled for December 7th at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Governor Fintiri will be decorated as the country’s best-performing governor in infrastructure and urban development — a recognition that underscores his administration’s sweeping reforms and ambitious projects across Adamawa State.
In a statement by the chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosoiku, Fintiri expressed deep gratitude for the accolade, describing it as a powerful endorsement of his government’s relentless drive to transform the state.
He acknowledged President Tinubu and the award committee for the honour, noting that the recognition would further energise his administration’s development agenda.
“This award serves as a motivation to continue driving progress and prosperity in our state,” the governor said. “We will continue to prioritise infrastructure development, improve governance, and enhance the quality of life for our citizens.” The latest award adds to a growing list of national commendations for the Fintiri administration, cementing Adamawa’s rising profile under his leadership.
