Governor Fintiri names new provost for Adamawa College Of Agriculture
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the appointment of Chief Aminu Kardu Tsigiya as the new Provost of the State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ganye.
Confirming the appointment, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, said Chief Tsigiya emerged as the top candidate after a rigorous selection process conducted by the College’s Governing Council. He described the appointment as “a well-deserved recognition of competence, experience, and commitment to agricultural education.”
Governor Fintiri also approved the appointments of Yusuf Haman’Adama as Registrar and Mustapha Baba Nasir as College Librarian, with all three appointments taking immediate effect.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to lead with integrity, innovation, and vision. He called on the new Provost to work closely with the college’s management to raise academic standards and strengthen hands-on training for students.
Fintiri further charged the new leadership to make research, community engagement, and agricultural advancement their top priorities, stressing that the institution must remain a centre of excellence driving food security and development across the state.
