Fintiri at 59: You are a hero and statesman, Nyampa declares
The member representing Madagali/Michika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dauda Nyampa, has described Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as a hero, an accomplished statesman and a visionary leader whose contributions to the development of the state have earned him widespread admiration.
Nyampa made the remarks in a congratulatory message marking the governor’s 59th birthday, praising his leadership, political resilience and commitment to improving the lives of the people of Adamawa State.
The federal lawmaker said Fintiri’s political journey reflected courage, determination and an unwavering commitment to public service, describing him as a leader who had demonstrated remarkable strength in the face of political challenges.
He particularly commended the governor’s handling of the political events surrounding the 2023 governorship election, saying his determination to defend the mandate entrusted to him by the electorate had strengthened his reputation as a defender of democratic principles.
According to Nyampa, Fintiri’s achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare and urban renewal have continued to transform Adamawa State and create opportunities for its residents.

The lawmaker said the governor’s leadership had demonstrated that effective governance required not only political experience but also the courage to make difficult decisions in the public interest.
Nyampa further described Fintiri as a bridge-builder whose approach to governance had encouraged unity, peaceful coexistence and development across political, religious and ethnic divides.
He noted that the governor’s commitment to delivering projects across the state had helped redefine public expectations of leadership and accountability.
