Gov. Bindow urges Adamawa APC executives to initiate reconciliation of aggrieved members.

Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa on Monday advised the new executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to commence reconciliation of aggrieving members of the party of the state. Bindow gave the advice when he hosted the new executive’s members of the party that paid him courtesy visit in Government House Yola. It will recall that 36 members of the APC state executives emerged from the just concluded state Congress in the state. He said that the party was in need of more members for the forth coming general elections. He urged them to collaborate with party elders in the state to achieve the task of reconciling the aggrieved members. The governor noted that, the last congress in the state was declared by the national leadership of the party as one of the best in the country. He however said that some members could still feel aggrieved. He recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari instructed state governors and other major stakeholders to drive the process of ensuring that credible party members emerged as leaders. According to him, the President wanted the party to vote for credible people that can hold the party which can survive in the next 100 years. Bindow encouraged the new leadership to provide good leadership to party members. He urged them to maintain integrity in their conduct of party affairs, adding that such would accord them with respect from their party members. The governor also urged them to uphold party rules, adding that such would justify the ‘party supremacy concept. Earlier, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, State Chapter Chairman of the party thanked the governor for overseeing the Congress that produced them through a transparent process. Bilal who was re-elected for the second term said that the party would commence reconciliation of aggrieved members soon. He assured the governor that the executive would not disappoint him, adding that the party would promote party supremacy and cohesion among members.
