We won’t allow anyone stampede Dr. Belel out of 2019 race – Adamawa Northern Youths
The Chairman Adamawa Northern Senatorial Youths for change, Mr. Bunu Mathias has vow not to allow force from any quarter to stampeded Dr. Belel out of the 2019 Senatorial race, despite what it claimed, today, to be an orchestrated scheme by opposition within and outside to do so. In an apparent move to insulate itself from the thickening 2019 political hustling, the youths group has passed the buck to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Adamawa State, to articulate a response to the widely published claims by some force within Adamawa State putting pressure on some of the Apc leaders to force Dr. Belel out of the race in 2019, Mr. Bunu Mathias vow that youths from the northern senatorial district would stand with Dr. Belel against any candidates in 2019 in a possible 2019 Senatorial duel. No individual stance nonetheless against the ambition of Mr. Belel will stop him from clinching the Apc senatorial ticket during the primary. The youth group said the controversies arising from Dr. Belel declaration and the follow-up would not distract Dr. Belel from his agenda of providing infrastructure and lifting the level of governance in the northern senatorial district. Mr Bunu said Dr. Belel has long been aware of subtle campaigns by some forces to stop his senatorial Ambition. “We are not bothered by the agitations and the controversy, it is a party matter and we understand that the party would be looking into the matter, so we will leave it for the party. We request all those aspiring to represent Adamawa northern senatorial district to shelve their ambition and support Belel, the statement said.
