Breaking: Bindow wins Adamawa APC governorship primary As Modi, Ribadu Cries Foul
Gov. Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State for the 2019 elections.
Bindow, polled 193,656 votes to defeat his closet rival, Halilu Modi, a brother to the first Lady Aisha Buahri who had 15,498 votes and Nuhu Ribadu, a pionner Chairman of the Efcc came distant third with 7,705 votes in the party’s primary held in Yola, Adamawa on Friday, which lasted about 30 hours.
Bindow is currently the incumbent Governor, who won 2015 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Nuhu Ribadu had also emerged the PDP candidate in the 2015 governorship election but lost to the current governor, Mr. Umaru Jibrilla Bindow due to imposition by the PDP.
Therefore, Bindow will be contesting against the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Umaru Fintri, Senator Abdul-Aziz Nyako of the ADC and those of other parties.
The Chairman of the five-man panel constituted by the APC National Working Committee to oversee the primary, Mr. Jibrin Ahmed declared Senator Jibrilla as the party’s candidate Sunday Morning, Inec officials that monitor the exercise described the exercise as free and fair.
“I Ahmed Jibrin, Chairman committee of the Apc Adamawa Governorship primary election with the power conferred on me and my members by the National Secretariat declared Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow as the winner of the Adamawa Governorship primary with the total of 193,656 votes Jibrin declared”.

Modi and Ribadu’s claims that there was no election in Adamawa is irresponsible, it shows the desperation of Modi and Ribadu, we want to tell Ribadu that APC is not PDP that took 2015 PDP primary to Abuja on his instance and hired touts to vote for him and he lost in 2015 general election to Bindow. it is sheer wickedness for Modi to claim there was no election, if you look at Mayo Belwa where they won, it is free and fair and where they lost it is rigging.
