Kashamu, Atiku’s South West Co-ordinator, a clown – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described its governorship candidate in Ogun state, Sen. Buruji Kashamu, as a clown and agent of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buruji who launched his governorship election campaign in Ijebu Igbo has been alleged to have turned himself to a clown.
It is official twitter handle, PDP, said: “Ogun Guber Election: We pity for Sen. Buruji , for finally turning himself into a clown, in his desperate bid to destabilize the PDP as part of his pact with the @MBuhari Presidency, that has threatened him with imminent extradition from Nigeria over alleged international fraud.’’
PDP said it is ridiculous for Sen. Buruji to present himself as Ogun governorship candidate of the @OfficialPDPNig, organize his own sham campaign rally, rented an audience and present a fake PDP flag to himself, after the authentic flag had been handed over to @ladiadebutu
“Nigerians are aware that Senator Buruji never purchased @OfficialPDPNig nomination form; never participated in our governorship primary or in any process related to nomination of governorship candidate of our party or any position whatsoever.
We therefore call on the people of Ogun state to completely disregard Senator Buruji as a clown and continue in their support for the @OfficialPDPNig governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, @ladiadebutu who is already coasting to victory in the forthcoming Guber Election.
It is reported that there are two candidates of PDP in Ogun state, including Mr Adebutu which the national secretariat considered as its candidate.
But the faction of Buruji led by Bayo Dayo is the one recognised by the court as the authentic PDP in the state.
A tweet by Abbey Olowu, @abbeyolowu1 replied PDP thus:
“Mr Kola Ologbondiyan or whatsoever your name is, you people are just ranting on Twitter and not doing this right thing, if there’s no standing order from the court that the Bayo Dayo Led exco is the authentic party structure in Ogun State, you will have swung into action to stop.’’
During his campaign on Monday, 60-year-old Kashamu promised to take the state to greater heights if elected governor in the 2019 governorship election.
At the rally with his running mate, Dr Reuben Abati, Kashamu said: “My desire to serve Ogun State as governor is to take our dear state to greater heights.”
“I am a grassroots politician, a proud Ijebu man and a good citizen of Ogun State who is loved by his people.
“In 2015, when I contested to represent the good people of Ogun East Senatorial District, I promised selfless representation. That is what I have given.’’
