Adamawa govt commences payment of seven months’ salary to workers
The Adamawa State Government on Tuesday commenced payment of all its workers in Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as part of efforts to clear seven months local government, health workers and teachers salary arrears.
The Commissioner for finance, Mahmoud Sali, who made this known in Yola, said that the exercise would involve payment of seven months’ salary to workers before this Christmas celebration.
it will be recalled that Gov. Bindow order the payments of all the salary arrears inherited from Nyako, Fintiri and Bala Administration.
Meanwhile reactions trails the payment of salary arrears of Adamawa State Health, Local Government and teachers salary as the Chairman, Adamawa Youths for change, Mr. Musa Dasin applauded the gesture of Gov. Bindow’s administration to offset all the salary arrears he inherited from his predecessors, ‘we commend the Governor for this kind gesture, we watch how some of this aspirants collected billions of naira and only paid two months salaries and yet they called them ‘ATM’ if payment of two out of many months salary is called ‘ATM’ then Bindow will be called CBN for paying seven months salaries from today ‘ Dasin opined.
